China's wind power industry has gradually entered the global market

Recently, the International Symposium on New Energy Development hosted by UBS Group was held in Shanghai. At the meeting, Dai Jun, a UBS securities and stock analyst, said that after years of efforts, China's wind power equipment industry has gradually entered the global market, and the development momentum is good. However, due to a serious overcapacity, China's power equipment manufacturers have seen the appearance of a "price war" at home and abroad, which will have a major impact on the domestic new energy industry in the future. China's power equipment manufacturers should focus on the world, and emerging markets represented by India will provide market growth opportunities for wind power, thermal power and hydropower manufacturers in China.

According to data provided by UBS, China has been growing rapidly in terms of power equipment exports in recent years. From 2007 to 2009, the annual growth rate of the installed capacity of electrical equipment exported by China was between 30% and 200%. In 2009, China’s exports have reached 16 million kilowatts, which is expected to exceed 22 million kilowatts this year, and the amount may reach more than 2 billion U.S. dollars.

Dai Jun believes that due to the price advantage of Chinese manufacturers and the continuous improvement of their overall technical strength, overseas opportunities are very large in the future. However, at present, China's power equipment manufacturers are already conducting a "price war", which will have a greater impact on the market. Dai Jun said that China has nearly 5 million kilowatts of capacity in the field of wind power and is the largest wind power market in the world, and it has already suffered a serious surplus.

Talking about the power shortage that has received much attention recently, Dai Jun pointed out that in the long term, power shortages will appear from time to time in media reports, because in the current situation when the power grid is not very mature, the installed capacity of thermal power is reduced. The decline in power regulation capability. In the summer when some of the peaks have been reached, it is difficult to adjust peaks regardless of wind power or other new energy sources. At the same time, there are also certain defects in the layout and planning of thermal power in China.
