Coal sales in Shaanxi Province broke 300 million tons for the first time

It was learned from the Provincial Coal Bureau that during the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan” period, Shaanxi Province further intensified its production layout and adjustment of its industrial structure. Under the stimulating of the market, the province’s coal sales have achieved substantial growth for five consecutive years with an average annual increase of 40 million tons. In 2010, it exceeded 300 million tons for the first time. In addition, at the end of the 12th Five-Year Plan, coal production in the province will reach 600 million tons, with an average annual increase of 50 million tons. During the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan” period, the province’s coal production and sales volume achieved substantial growth for five consecutive years. In 2010, the coal output reached 355 million tons, an increase of 202 million tons from the 153 million tons in 2005, and the average annual increase in production was 40.368 million tons. Only Shanxi and Inner Mongolia are the third largest coal-producing provinces in China. According to the coal industry development plan of Shaanxi Province, by the end of the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan”, the province’s coal production will reach 600 million tons, with an average annual increase of 50 million tons.
