How to determine the appropriate fertilization location

A suitable fertilization location is where the crop is close to the crop and does not harm the crop, and the soil is suitable for the situation. Because the seeds or plants are too close to the fertilizer, they will be harmed, too far away and not absorbed. It is necessary to apply it to the soil where the moisture is suitable because the fertilizer is only soluble in water and can be absorbed and utilized by the crop.
For wheat, corn and Other field crops and vegetables, fertilizer can be applied, ditch, hole application and layering; for fruit trees, because of its deep roots and wide distribution, the fertilizer can be applied in a circular ditch or a hole. According to a survey of wheat and corn fertilization methods, about 69% of farmers in China use fertilizers, less than 30% of the ditch, and few foliar fertilization. Scientific research and production practice have proved that the application of fertilizer is 10% to 30% less than that of the ditch, and the crop is also reduced due to insufficient fertilizer.

For soybeans and other food crops, the preferred location for fertilization is at a distance of 5-6 cm from the seed and the vertical distance from the seed. Under the conditions of machine-casting, layered fertilization can be carried out, and the fertilizer side depth is applied to the place 5-10 cm below the seed. The location of top dressing depends on the type of crop and the age of the plant. The older the plant, the farther the fertilization position is from the plant. Sand land, fertilizer should be applied in depth; clay soil, fertilizer should be applied shallowly. Generally, the fertilizer is preferably applied at a position of 5 to 10 cm on the side of the plant and 6 cm below the surface of the plant.
