Kazakhstan experts have successfully extended the shelf life of camel milk products to two years by making camel milk into rinsable tablets.
According to Moussett Tokanov, an expert in Hamzim Kent City, besides being rich in vitamin C, camel milk also contains a lot of unsaturated fatty acids, iron and vitamin B needed by the human body.
The shelf life of camel milk products is very short, only 1 to 2 months. However, if preservatives are added, their beneficial ingredients will be destroyed and the efficacy will be affected. Tokanov and colleagues successfully developed camel milk products in the form of rinsable drinks. This product extends shelf life to 2 years by limiting the oxidation of camel milk on the premise of keeping the camel's milk content to the maximum.
At present, the research results have been approved by the Kazakhstan national patent and will be given priority as astronauts food acceptance testing. Tokanov also plans to bring achievements to attend the Astana Expo 2017.
