Preparation and use of Bordeaux mixture

Preparation of Bordeaux mixture

Preparation of Bordeaux mixture of raw materials Preparation of Bordeaux mixture to choose pure, white blocky lime and pure crystal, blue crystalline copper sulfate (ie blue 矾). If stored poorly, copper sulfate is easily weathered into a light blue amorphous body, but it is still available. If there are many impurities, it is yellow or green, it is not easy to use, and the water should not be used too hard. The good Bordeaux mixture is slightly viscous in the sky blue, the texture is very fine, and the sedimentation rate is slow. It is a suspended liquid and alkaline reaction. After a certain period of time, precipitation occurs and it is easy to deteriorate after 24 hours. It is not suitable for use. If the formulated Bordeaux mixture is blue-green or gray-blue, the texture is thicker, even flocculent, the precipitation is faster, and the quality is not good.

Bordeaux mixture is the most common protective fungicide on jujube trees. Sprayed on the leaves and fruits to form a thin film that is protected from germs. The leaf color after spraying often turns green. In general, the residual period is 15-20 days.

Preparation method: Lime multi-type Bordeaux mixture (copper sulfate: lime: water 1:2:200) is often used on jujube trees. The quality of Bordeaux mixture is closely related to the preparation method. Generally used in the "two liquid simultaneous pouring method" preparation, that is, the copper sulfate and quicklime are placed in two containers, each with a half amount of water, and then the copper sulfate solution and the lime milk are slowly poured into the third In the container, stir while stirring. Bordeaux mixture prepared by the "May 1" method has better suspension. The method is to dissolve copper sulfate with 5/6 water, adjust the lime milk with 1/6 water, and then slowly pour the copper sulfate solution into the concentrated lime milk, and stir constantly. No matter which method is used, the lime milk cannot be poured into the copper sulfate solution, because the Bordeaux mixture thus prepared has the worst quality and is easy to settle. The well-equipped Bordeaux mixture should not be put on hold, and it should not be diluted with water.

When preparing Bordeaux mixture, pay attention to the selection of raw materials. The quality of copper sulphate is generally satisfactory. The quality of the lime has a great influence on the quality of the Bordeaux mixture. To use burnt block lime (light weight, white color, crisp sound when tapping), powdered slaked lime should not be used. Do not use iron drums when preparing copper sulfate solution to prevent corrosion.

Precautions:

First, Bordeaux mixture is alkaline, contains calcium, can not be mixed with alkali-suppressing agents (such as dichlorvos, dysen zinc) and stone sulphur mixture, rosin mixture, mineral oil agent, in order to avoid the occurrence of phytotoxicity, sprayed with Bordeaux mixture On the crop, the stone sulphur mixture cannot be sprayed within 15-20 days. But it can be mixed with lead arsenate and wet sulphur.

Second, do not spray Bordeaux mixture in the first half of the harvest to avoid contamination. Jujube fruit that has been contaminated with Bordeaux mixture can be washed first with dilute vinegar, then washed with water and then eaten.

Third, the sprayer that has used Bordeaux liquid should be washed with water in time.
