According to recent news, American chemical company Michelman now supplies a new polyamide aqueous dispersion used as a fiber sizing agent for reinforcing nylon composite materials. This type of sizing, Hydrosize® PA845, is free from solvents and volatile organic compounds. The field use proved that this new dispersion has excellent workability and film forming properties, which can result in excellent filament bunching. This dispersion also does not contain ethoxylated alkylphenol (APE), which fully meets the requirements of the EC Directive for plastics for food use.
