On June 9th, 2006, a delegation of 15 people visited the Japan Waterproof Construction Company, organized by the Construction Water Association of the China Construction Industry Association, and visited the construction site of the Qingye Town construction area of ​​the Yokohama Ring Line in Japan.
I. Project Overview The total length of the construction section of the subway Qinglan Town construction area is 467.6m. Due to the complex terrain, there are three types of construction in this section. The first section is a 123.6m viaduct, the second section is a 108m U-shaped open trench, and the third section is 236m. Underground double box concrete structure tunnel. The underground tunnel section adopts SMW underground continuous wall retaining wall, steel beam horizontal support, and open excavation construction. The SMW underground continuous wall is not equipped with steel cages, but H-shaped steel is used as the main vertical force component. The spacing of the steel bars is about 1 meter. Between the steel shapes is the cement mixing mortar.

Before tying the floor steel bars, first apply the waterproof layer on the wall. Side wall waterproofing layer adopts self-adhesive butyl rubber waterproofing membrane. The coil is 2.0mm thick and 1.07m wide. It is backed with non-woven fabric. The first web was laid up from a continuous wall root (shade corner) with a height of about 2.0 m. At the upper end of the coil, temporary nails with washers were used to fix the wall, and then the entire coil was fixed on the wall with 0.5m intervals of the fixture. Fixtures were lined with butyl steel water stop sheets, and then the coils were fixed to the continuous wall with the nails with gaskets, and then the butyl sealant was used to close the nail holes. The length and length of the coil and coil are constructed by parallel butt jointing method, and the 250mm wide similar coil cover strip is pasted on the top. After the construction of the first coiled material, the floor slabs were reinforced and concrete was poured. After the floor concrete was poured, the second roll of material was placed on the upper wall before the reinforcement of the wall panel was tied.
The joints between the bottom of the box tunnel and the wallboard are left on the octagonal corners of the wallboard. The butyl steel waterstop is used for waterproofing. The butyl steel plate has a water stop width of about 200mm, a stainless steel plate or an aluminum plate of about 1.0mm in the middle, and a composite 2 to 3mm thick reactive butyl rubber around it. The reactive butyl rubber is covered with release paper on the upper and lower surfaces, and is torn separately when needed. . During construction, the water stop can be pre-fixed and concrete poured, or the water stop can be inserted while the concrete is poured.
The box-type concrete structure is provided with a vertical construction joint every 25m long. The construction joint waterproofing also adopts the butyl steel water-proof belt. The entire outer ring is closed annularly, and the width of the stop-stop and stop-stop is 100mm, which is a self-adhesive overlap. .
The underground continuous wall enclosing structure has a small amount of water seepage, and the rainwater flows down the wall. Before the concrete is poured, the water between the coil and the enclosing structure must be drawn out. The specific measure is: at every certain distance, two to three drainage filter tubes are arranged between the coil and the envelope structure, and the filter tubes communicate with the long drainage filter tubes at the root of the upright wall, between the coil and the envelope structure. The water is discharged.
Third, the reaction of self-adhesive butyl rubber waterproofing membrane reaction Self-adhesive butyl rubber waterproofing membrane is a kind of non-sulfurized coiled material made of pure butyl rubber added special components, commonly used thickness 2.0mm, width 1070mm, Each roll is 10m long; the reaction between the self-adhesive butyl rubber waterproof roll and the concrete is cemented together.
The tensile strength of the web was 8.0 MPa; the elongation at break was 470%. In the exposed state, the coil will gradually undergo vulcanization under natural conditions, the strength will gradually increase, and the elongation will decrease. The 20-year elongation is expected to drop to 65% of the initial value, and the shear bond strength increases with the service life. constant. According to actual calculations made by relevant departments, it takes about 80 years for the elongation of coiled material to drop to 100%.
Self-adhesive butyl rubber waterproofing membrane with good chemical stability and acid and alkali resistance. With the concentration of 10% sulfuric acid, 10% hydrochloric acid, 20% sodium carbonate, saturated calcium hydroxide and 10% sodium chloride for corrosion resistance tests, physical and technical indicators have not changed.
The biggest feature of self-adhesive butyl rubber coils is that they have good adhesion with concrete and prevent water-streaking between coils and concrete in engineering applications. Coil and concrete were cured for four days after bonding, and the measured adhesive strength was 1.0 MPa. In the string water prevention test, 0.5 MPa water pressure was applied to the opening of the coil, and no string water phenomenon was found between the concrete matrix and the coil. This feature of the web is commonly referred to as "skin-type waterproofing."
Another feature of the coil is that since the coil has a large elongation (up to 600%), it has follow-up to concrete cracks. Non-vulcanized coils have elasto-plastic elongation. Therefore, under tension, the coils release the internal stress of the coils in a plastically extended manner, which overcomes the problem of accelerated aging under stress conditions of the rubber coils.
Since the bonding between the coil and the concrete is a reaction bonding form, the surface of the coil is not affected by dust, water, and moisture, and the effective adhesion between the coil and the concrete is ensured.
Reactive butyl rubber is not only used in the production of waterproof membranes, but because of its good adhesion to concrete, butyl rubber waterstop tape and butyl steel composite waterstop produced from reactive butyl rubber are unique. The waterproof stop effect.
The reactive butyl rubber compounded on aluminum plates or steel plates can produce waterstops for construction joints and seismic induction joints and waterproof components. It can also be made into non-seamless sealing tape, which is wrapped around the surface of the concrete pipe and I-shaped steel, and has a flexible sealing effect (see Figure 2 and Figure 3).
Figure 2, Figure 3, see page 5 of page 4, the coil construction reaction self-adhesive butyl rubber waterproof membrane is most suitable for underground anti-self-adhesive waterproof project. Its excellent waterproof performance has now become one of the major subway waterproof materials in Japan.
For the side wall anti-sticking construction, the coiled material is composited with geotextile on one side, and the geotextile side faces the envelope structure, and the coil is fixed on the enclosing wall with a special fixing member. The coils were capped with a lap joint, and the entire space was mechanically fixed (see Figure 4).

In the yin and yang corners and joints, add the same kind of material for additional layers. When the butyl rubber coil is overlapped with the modified bituminous coil material, the lapped surface of the modified bituminous coil material needs to be made into a special bonding area to ensure the transition and overlap of two different types of coil materials.
V. Concluding remarks The use of Japanese subway waterproofing materials is also based on cost requirements for material selection and economic control. Different waterproof materials are used in different locations. Self-adhesive butyl rubber waterproofing membrane is a kind of high-tech high-grade coiled material, which is about RMB 150/RMB. This kind of material has been used in the waterproof engineering of domestic Tianjin subway. The butyl steel composite water-stopping tape and the seismic induction-sealing waterproof member made of reactive butyl rubber have a good waterproof effect and practical value.
