The Dow Chemical Company today announced the expansion of its AGILITYTM high performance low density polyethylene (LDPE) resin portfolio. The new resin solution helps filmmakers achieve lightweight coating at low to medium line speeds to address packaging challenges in the Asia Pacific region.
The newly launched AGILITYTM EC 7030 high performance LDPE resin uses Dow's new tubular polymerisation technology to meet the needs of the Asia Pacific region from autoclave to tubular process conversion. This new product further enriches the AGILITYTM product portfolio for extruders of different speeds and can be used to produce a wide range of end products.
The AGILITYTM range of high performance LDPE resins is designed to meet and exceed the performance of traditional autoclave LDPE resins and provide long-term sustainable solutions for older LDPE autoclave equipment while achieving lightweight coatings and improved Material utilization. The first generation of AGILITYTM extrusion-coated resins is designed for high-speed coating at low extrusion thicknesses and can be used in high-end products such as aseptic packaging.
