The vibrator is a special machine in the construction of vibrating method. It generates horizontal vibration force to vibrate the packing and the surrounding soil, thereby improving the bearing capacity of the foundation, reducing the settlement, increasing the stability of the foundation, and improving the anti-seismic liquefaction ability.
In addition to the in-situ punch, the vibrating gravel pile requires a walking type lifting device, a pumping water delivery system, a control console, etc. See Figure 1. The vibrating construction process is shown in Figure 2. If the engineering unit lacks cranes, the factory also supplies vibrator construction pile frames. The pile frames have single-sided roller column type, hydraulic walking type and simple crawler type.
The vibrator originated in Germany, and after a lot of engineering practice, the vibrating technology is the preferred solution for seismic strengthening of soft foundation. After the Tangshan earthquake in 1976, China attached great importance to the study of seismic reinforcement of building foundations. The former Ministry of Water Resources and Electric Power commissioned the Beijing Survey and Design Institute to establish the Zhenchong Research Group, and developed a 30KW vibrator, which was successfully applied to the Beijing Guanting Reservoir. The seismic strengthening project of the fine sand dam foundation, in 1982, developed a 75KW high-power vibrator, which greatly improved the application range of vibrating technology. From 1976 to 1985, Zhenchao Research and Test Group successively completed dozens of vibrating gravel pile projects, including the Pilot Project, the Lagdu Reservoir of the Republic of Cameroon, and the Qianguo Refinery of Jilin.
