Solar lawn lights operate primarily using solar cells to convert sunlight into usable energy. During the day, sunlight hits the solar panel, converting light energy into electricity and storing it in a battery. At night, this stored energy powers the LED light sources in the lawn lights. The boost IC in these solar lawn lights automatically switches between charging and discharging modes. When the solar charging board detects sunlight during the day, it switches to charging mode. When sunlight is absent at night, it switches to discharging mode, turning the lights on.

The boost IC boosts the output voltage of a 1.5-volt rechargeable battery to 3.6 volts. One set of circuit board ICs, paired with a rechargeable battery, can drive 1 to 7 LED light-emitting diodes; multiple sets of ICs can also be used. The key advantages lie in safety, energy efficiency, convenience, and environmental friendliness. Our company customizes the solar lawn light controllers based on the unique characteristics of these lamps. This includes a proprietary integrated circuit (6601D) developed by us along with some external components.

Main functions include a charging circuit, driving circuit, photosensitive control circuit, and pulse width modulation circuit. The controller boasts a high conversion efficiency of 80-85% (typical), reducing the power needs of solar panels. It has a low startup voltage of 0.9V (max) and an adjustable output current. Other features include over-discharge protection options, a package size of DIP8 or SOT8, and applications ranging from rechargeable batteries to single-cell rechargeable battery drivers and colored LED drivers.
