(2) Environmental conditions for coating: General amine-cured epoxy coatings do not substantially cure at temperatures below 5 °C. Curing is extremely slow at temperatures below 10 °C, so it is required to be applied above 15 °C. The coating has a high viscosity at low temperatures and is not easy to apply. At high temperatures, the two components of the coating react quickly, the use period is short, the paint sometimes does not reach the leveling, and attention should be paid during construction. High humidity also has a certain influence on the coating, especially to avoid construction in low temperature and high humidity environment. Such coatings generally adjust the curing agent to suit different construction conditions.
(3) Primer application: After the low-viscosity solvent-free epoxy sealing primer is prepared, the roller is coated to fully wet the concrete and penetrate into the inner layer of the concrete.
(4) Medium-coating construction: The medium-coating construction is more critical. Mix the epoxy color paste and curing agent with the appropriate amount of quartz sand with a proper amount of mixing material. Use a trowel to coat a flat layer of a certain thickness. The trowel is smoothed and the amount of sand added is larger. It can also be applied by scraping. After the middle coating is cured, the soil is scraped and smoothed to provide a good surface for the top coating.
(5) Topcoating: After the epoxy paste and curing agent are evenly mixed, they can be smeared, brushed, rolled or sprayed to self-level to obtain a flat and even surface coating. The topcoat can also be made into a non-slip or antistatic coating.
(6) Construction completion: 36 h can be used before, and can be stressed after 96 h. At room temperature, the low temperature open time needs to be moderately extended.
