The Russian Ministry of Energy announced on November 2 that the country’s oil production in October 2011 hit a new high in the Soviet era, reaching 10.34 million barrels, which was higher than the previous record high of 10.3 million barrels per day set in September.
In October, Russia’s export of Transneft oil pipelines decreased by 0.3% to 4.25 million barrels per day, which was lower than the 4.26 million barrels per day in September.
At present, the daily output of Russian oil is still higher than Saudi Arabia and is the world's largest crude oil producer.
According to the data, the daily output of Saudi crude oil in October was 9.4 million barrels, which was lower than the 9.5 million barrels in September.
