Tips for the maintenance of your teapot:
(1) After each use, make sure to dry the inside of the teapot thoroughly. Leaving moisture inside can lead to mold and damage over time.
(2) Avoid placing your teapot in hot or humid areas. If you're not using it for a while, store it in a sealed container or wrap it carefully to protect it from dust and temperature changes.
(3) Keep your teapot away from areas with high levels of oil, smoke, or dust, as these can affect both its appearance and the flavor of your tea.
(4) After use, it's best to leave the lid slightly open or place it on the side rather than closing it completely. This allows air to circulate and prevents moisture buildup.
(5) Never let water sit in the teapot for long periods. When brewing tea, only fill it with water just before you’re ready to brew.
(6) It’s recommended to have multiple teapots, especially if you enjoy different types of tea. Use a specific pot for each type of tea to preserve the flavor and avoid mixing up tastes.
(7) Avoid using any soap, detergent, or chemical cleaners on your teapot. These can strip away the natural patina and ruin the taste of your tea.
(8) After every use, wipe the outside of the teapot with a clean cloth. Then pour out about two-thirds of the remaining tea, leaving one-third, and rinse it with boiling water two or three times. Discard the rinse water and allow the teapot to air dry completely.
By following these simple steps, you'll ensure that your teapot remains in excellent condition for years to come, enhancing your tea-drinking experience with every cup.
