In a recent quality inspection conducted by the provincial quality and technical supervision department in the second quarter of this year, 40 batches of flooring products from 34 enterprises were tested. Unfortunately, two batches of these products failed to meet the required standards. The main issue was related to the static bending strength, which is a critical mechanical property for impregnated paper laminated wood flooring. This measure reflects the product's ability to withstand pressure and load.
According to national standards, the static bending strength should be at least 35.0 MPa. However, the unqualified products had actual values of 26.8 MPa and 28.2 MPa, significantly below the required level. When the static bending strength is insufficient, the flooring can become structurally weak, making it prone to breaking under external forces. This not only reduces the lifespan of the product but also poses potential safety risks during use.
Experts suggest that poor-quality raw materials and rough manufacturing processes are major contributors to such failures. Consumers are advised to be cautious when purchasing flooring products and to avoid those that have been found non-compliant.
