Positive pressure fire air breathing apparatus use maintenance instructions

Routine inspection
1.1 After the fire air breathing apparatus is purchased and used, the following inspections must be performed:
1.1.1 Check full face mask. Do not use masks and eyepieces damaged.
1.1.2 Check the cylinder pressure residual gas alarm. Open the cylinder valve to check the pressure of the storage gas. If it is less than 80% of the rated pressure, it must not be used.
1.1.3 Wear a mask so that the mask fits well with the face, and the face should feel comfortable without obvious tenderness.
1.1.4 Take a deep breath 2 or 3 times to check the air tightness of the fire air breathing apparatus. Airtight performance is good, open the cylinder valve, the human body can be put into normal breathing.
1.2 After using the fire-fighting air breathing apparatus, it must be restored as soon as possible according to the following requirements:
1.2.1 Clean the dirt and check for damage.
1.2.2 Inflate the air bottle.
1.2.3 Use a neutral disinfectant (no disinfectant containing carbonic acid) to clean the mask, exhalation valve, and flexible diaphragm of the air regulator. Finally rinsing in clean water, making it self-ignited and dry, not baked and exposed.
1.2.4 According to the preparatory work requirements before use, perform airtight tests on fire air breathing apparatus.
1.3 The fire air breathing apparatus must be checked and checked once a month. The main items of inspection are:
1.3.1 Full-faced lenses, straps, ring seals, exhalation valves, inhalation valves, air supply valves, etc., shall be fully functional, properly connected, clean, and free of dirt.
1.3.2 The cylinder pressure gauge works normally and the connection is firm.
1.3.3 The straps and belts are intact and there is no breakage.
1.3.4 The gas cylinder is firmly connected with the brackets and the mechanical parts, and the pipeline is well sealed.
1.3.5 The cylinder pressure is generally 28-30 MPa. When the pressure is lower than 24MPa, it must be inflated.
1.3.6 Airtight inspection of the whole machine: Open the gas cylinder switch and turn off the gas cylinder switch after the high pressure air is filled in the pipeline. Observe the change of the pressure gauge. The value of the pressure gauge should not drop more than 4 MPa within 5 minutes, and it must be less than 4 MPa.
1.3.7 Check of the residual gas alarm: Open the gas cylinder switch and wait until the high pressure air is full to close the gas cylinder switch and observe the pressure change. When the value of the pressure gauge drops to 4~6MPa, an alarm sound should be given and a continuous alarm is issued. Pressure gauge value "0" bit. More than this standard is not qualified.
1.3.8 Matching Inspection of Air Supply Valve and Full Face Mask: After wearing the fire air breathing apparatus correctly, open the cylinder switch. When exhaling and holding the breath, the air supply valve should stop supplying air and there is no “click” noise. When inhaling, the air supply valve should be supplied with air and "click" sound. Instead, replace the full cover or air supply valve.
2 Inspection and maintenance
2.1 Cylinders should be managed and used in strict accordance with the regulations governing the use of high pressure vessels. The use period is based on the marked period of the gas cylinders. Hydrostatic pressure tests are generally conducted every three years. The service life of ultra-high strength steel cylinders is 12 years. .
2.2 When filling cylinders, they must be carried out in accordance with the safety rules. Filled cylinders should be placed in a storage room, gently handled, placed neatly, and the height should not exceed 1.2 meters. Exposure to sunlight and proximity to heat sources are prohibited.
2.3 Fire air breathing apparatus storage place, room temperature should be 5 ~ 30 °C, relative humidity 40% ~ 80%, there should be no corrosive gas in the air. If it is not used for a long time, the full face mask should be stored in its natural state. Its rubber parts should be coated with talcum powder in order to prolong its service life.
2.4 Check and maintain the safety rules for fire air breathing apparatus:
2.4.1 The high-pressure, medium-pressure compressed air of fire-fighting air breathing apparatus should not be blown directly into the human body to prevent injury.
2.4.2 Fire air breathing apparatus must not be used for underwater breathing apparatus.
2.4.3 The removal of valves, parts and quick disconnects shall not be carried out under gas pressure.
2.4.4 The pressure values of fire-fighting air respirator pressure reducing valves, alarms and medium-pressure safety valves have been commissioned from the factory, and non-professional service personnel are not allowed to adjust the pressure. The springs in the exhalation valves must not be interchanged.
2.4.5 When using compressed air to blow out dust and dust from fire-fighting air respirator, pay attention to the operator's hands, face and eyes. Wear protective glasses and gloves when necessary.
2.4.6 The cylinder pressure gauge shall be calibrated once a year.
2.4.7 Gas cylinders must not be inflated beyond the rated working pressure.
2.4.8 Do not connect a 30MPa pressure cylinder to a pressure reducer with a maximum input pressure of 20MPa.
2.4.9 Do not mix air supply devices such as positive pressure air respirator and negative pressure air respirator.
2.4.10 Do not mix parts of decompression and secondary decompression respirator.
2.4.11 Do not use components that have exceeded the useful life.
2.4.12 The cylinders of fire-fighting air breathing apparatus are not allowed to be filled with oxygen, so as to prevent the oil traces in the cylinders from exploding after being exposed to high pressure oxygen, and it is also not possible to fill the cylinders with other gases or liquids.
2.4.13 When assembling fire extinguishing respirator seals and a few parts, only a small amount of silicone grease shall be applied, but no oil or grease shall be allowed.
2.4.14 The air respirator compressed air should be kept clean and meet the following requirements: carbon monoxide does not exceed 5.5 mg/m3, carbon dioxide does not exceed 900 mg/m3, oil does not exceed 0.5 mg/m3, water does not More than 50 mg/m3.
3 How to use
3.1 Before use, check that the fire-fighting air respirator is in good condition, the pressure value is within the allowable range, and the alarm alarm is normal.
3.2 How to use:
3.2.1 can be worn head-mounted or dressed, according to the body to adjust the shoulder strap, belt, to fit a solid, comfortable and appropriate.
3.2.2 Fully cover a long neck strap around the neck, full-faced hood hanging in front of the chest so that it can be worn and used.
3.2.3 Plug the quick connector and turn the locking ring to the locked state. Open the cylinder switch and the supply valve switch is off.
3.2.4 Put the chin in the lower armpit of the full face mask, and then tighten the elastic adjustment band behind the head with both hands; use the hand to smooth the head net, adjust the mask, and readjust the adjustment band.
3.2.5 Close the gas cylinder switch and take a deep breath several times to suck the air of the mask and the pipe. At this time, the mask should collapse inwards and no air leakage occurs. Note that with this operation, the hand cannot leave the cylinder switch.
3.2.6 Open the cylinder switch, opening degree should be more than two laps, take 2 or 3 deep breaths, feel comfortable. With respect to the reliable performance of the valve, the supply valve should stop supplying air when it is holding the air. Press the hand to check the open and closed states of the supply valve change-over switch.
3.2.7 During use, the pressure of the cylinder should always be observed. When the pressure is less than 6-4 MPa or the alarm sound is heard, the cylinder should be evacuated from the fire. At this time, it can also supply air for 8 to 10 minutes.
3.2.8 After use, first loosen the full face strap clip, take off the full face cover, and supply valve switch is turned off. Close the cylinder switch, discharge the residual pressure from the line, insert the quick plug, loosen the belt, and remove the cylinder.
