The 1# sulfur forming and packaging workshop is known for its labor-intensive operations. Employees consistently wear protective gear such as helmets, dust goggles, and masks while handling heavy sulfur bags, regardless of the season. In a production line that processes approximately 60,000 tons of sulfur annually, each worker is responsible for packing around 130 bags per shift. With two workers working together, this means each person handles about 260 bags per shift. Each bag can weigh up to 50 kilograms, and after a long shift, many experience back pain, leg fatigue, and overall physical exhaustion.

Despite these challenges, the team remains dedicated to maximizing the company's self-sale products. Even when electronic weighing systems are inaccurate or difficult to read, they maintain a strong sense of responsibility and focus on quality. They carefully measure each scoop, ensuring accuracy one spoon at a time. Over time, each bag of sulfur becomes a symbol of their hard work—each packet containing just a few extra grains, like sesame seeds, adding up to half a catty (about 250 grams) over time.

During the sweltering summer months, the factory feels like a large steam room. As employees pack sulfur, sweat pours down their faces, but they embrace the heat and push through, determined to complete every task efficiently. Even small overages in weight matter, and the team has been vigilant in monitoring and correcting discrepancies. Over the past four months, they identified an excess of 12.1 tons of sulfur, leading to more than one million yuan in recovered value for the company.
